Irina Manelis is the founder of Manelis Law, PLLC.  Irina’s goal is to help bring and keep families together, to assist individuals seeking a second-chance at life in the U.S., and to support businesses who need the skills and entrepreneurial spirit of international workers to meet the demands of the global economy.  Finding the practice of immigration law to be both intellectually and personally rewarding, she draws on her experience and expertise to guide clients with dignity and care through the complexities of the immigration process.

As a child, Irina immigrated to the United States from Odessa, Ukraine and she continues to be inspired by her parents’ example of hard work, resilience, and grace. Irina enjoys tackling challenging legal issues and her personal background and advocacy skills allow her to present even the most difficult cases compassionately and persuasively.

Irina graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law where she was a member of the McNeill Law Society (top 10% of the class), Order of the Coif, and the Trial Advocacy, Client Counseling and Negotiation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution Society Boards.

Irina is admitted to practice law in Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She speaks English and Russian fluently.
